Mayorga Coffee, a nationally-recognized artisan roaster, is the roasting partner for Farmer Friendly coffee. Mayorga Coffee has worked extensively with the people of El Recreo to ensure that every step of the process from the farm to the mill has been managed guaranteeing that the finest quality coffee possible is offered to the Sam’s Club consumer.

Once the beans reach the Mayorga Coffee roasting facility the Roastmaster utilizes a traditional batch drum roaster, which allows him to manage the coffee one batch at a time. The Roastmaster delicately manipulates the heat and airflow of the roaster to most effectively draw out the unique flavors that distinguish El Recreo coffee. Once the optimal roast level is reached, the Roastmaster “pulls” the roast by dumping the hot beans into a cooling bin and sends them directly into the packaging line as soon as they reach room temperature. Because of Mayorga Coffee’s dedication to providing the finest cup of coffee, the Roastmaster cups batch samples of Farmer Friendly coffee on a daily basis to ensure that the characteristics and quality aspects of the coffee are maintained all the way until it reaches the consumers’ hands.
