Farmer Friendly is committed to sustainability through the holistic cultivation of society, education, and the environment. Because of this, we partner exclusively with farms and farming communities that are equally committed to this approach to sustainability and that are either family or cooperative-owned. This insures that the farm workers are intrinsically motivated to care for the well-being of everyone involved, and of the farm itself.

The shade-grown coffee is grown under a protective canopy of the pre-existing forest, which ensures a slower, fuller growing cycle, while maintaining the natural habitat for hundreds of plant and animal species, as well as migratory birds. In addition, the coffee is grown under the rigorous standards of the Rainforest Alliance, which ensures that dangerous chemicals are not employed in the growing process. Constant care for the environment and those who depend on it is maintained by ensuring a caring way of life on a daily basis. From quality living conditions, access to healthcare, access to education, and fair pay for farm workers, Farmer Friendly’s origin partners have established practices that will allow them to thrive for many years to come.
